This Kurama cosplay was more of an ‘when I have time for it’ endeavor. A lot of times I’ll need a little breather in between more complex costumes to do something quickly and feel like I’ve accomplished a project. I already had the pattern from Chapter Black version I had made a year or so prior and the fabrics had been sitting in my bin for a while. It was a super easy costume to make, especially considering I didn’t need to pattern the tabard or make the shirt and bottom (just used the one from Chapter Black saga).
Glad I decided to make it seeing as Box of Ninjas wanted to make the tabard version of Hiei as well. It’s fun seeing a response to Kurama cosplay, this version in particular. I suppose it’s his most recognizable outfit. With each cosplay I make I decide a ‘dream shoot’ for it. With this version of Kurama I really want to shoot with a Karasu.
As usual the most challanging part of the costume is crosplay make-up. I’m not 100% there yet, but with each time I do his make-up I fell I like the outcome more and more.
